Our horsemanship holiday camps are the perfect opportunity for the older siblings to learn natural horsemanship, and grow their horse riding skills. As well as working with the 4 miniature horses, each participant will get a private lesson on our larger horse Gypsy the brumby. Gypsy was originally caught from Kosciusko National Park as a wild horse many years ago, she has the most gentle of nature and has taught numerous beginners how to ride.
During the camp the participant will learn:
- The basics of horse care and learn how to tack up
- Have a one on one riding lesson on Gypsy (suitable for beginners to learn to walk and trot) & for the children interesting in furthering there skills they can choose to have a go at bareback riding (riding without a saddle)
- They also have an opportunity to drive a horse and cart
- Each participant will share a miniature horse for a speedy mini Gymkhana / learn important groundwork horsemanship / a fun competitive horse dressup's competition as well as taking the miniature horses for a bush walk around the 9 acer grounds.
Your child to enjoy a day immersed in nature, having a detox from screen time, hanging out with miniature horses and Gypsy the big horse, playing with new friends, growing their confidence with horses and having a tonne of fun.
We take a maximum of 8 participants per camp so to make sure all the children have the best hands-on pony experience.
